Caught by the River at Open East

31 July 2013 // Events //Music //Pint/Cake

Still reeling from a mindblowingly good weekend at the Open East Festival in the Queen Elizabeth Park. Thanks to the good folks at Create London and the Barbican, Caught by the River were able to host two whole days of singers, thinkers and drinkers (many managed all three, sometimes all at once) on the banks of the River Lea.

Huge thanks to everyone who played, read or talked over the weekend: Stealing Sheep, Charlie Boyer and the Voyeurs, Rhys Webb, Jeb Loy Nichols, Trevor and Hannah, The Rockingbirds, Bob Stanley, Pete Paphides, Michael Smith, Travis Elborough, Wire, Don Letts, Le Volume Corbe, Viv Albertine, Emma Warren, Lindsay Wesker, Lloyd Bradley, Uncle Dugs, John Andrews, Charles Rangeley-Wilson, Ian Rawes, Tom Bolton and to Caught by the River’s resident smudge and all-round good egg and gunslinger Neil Thomson for helping capture the highlights of the weekend.

Extra special ‘couldn’t have done it without you’ thanks to Duncan, Jo and all at Sambrooks, Mike and Dan from Tap East/Utobeer, Ed Mason and all at Five Points Brewery, Corinna and all at Borough Wines, Mr Beer Advent Calendar himself and everyone who helped out make the inaugural Ten Mile Beer Festival the perfect pint by the river.
