The Sexual Objects, the erudite Scottish band fronted by the great Davy Henderson formerly of the Fire Engines, Win and The Nectarine No.9, have come up with an interesting way of marketing their new album, Marshmallow. A single vinyl copy is for sale on e-bay. Whoever buys the thing gets all the rights to the recordings, in perpetuity. The winner will also get artwork and digital files – to manufacture and distribute the album. Alternatiely they can just put that single vinyl in a vault. The sale ends on 25 January, Burn’s Night. At point of publication here the bidding is at £2,052.02. Bargain!
