R.S. Thomas at Ynys-Hir

“The swifts winnow the air.
It is pleasant at the end of the day
To watch them. I have shut the mind
On fools. The phone’s frenzy
Is over.”

Swifts, R.S. Thomas

R.S. Thomas was one of Wales greatest poets and also an avid twitcher. In what would have been his centenary year, the RSPB have dedicated a hide to him in one of his regular haunts, the Ynys-hir reserve in Ceredigion. Click here to find out more about the R.S.Thomas bird hide.
