Ladies and Gentlemen!

The good people in Old Town have produced the first edition of the Old Town Evening Star which to steal one of their headlines is ‘A
Diamond in the Rough’. So put down that copy of Metro or the Green ‘Un and tuck into some groundbreaking stories such as ‘Trousers Found in London Pub’ or ‘Black Pudding and Knicker Elastic’.

On the markets page Miss Willey gives a detailed description of Spitalfields which she calls the best London street market, ‘Thursday is by far the best. The look is a cross between British Sea Power and Steptoe’s Yard with a bit of 1960’s Victoriana’. There is even a mention for that small corner of Arcadia ‘Another stall worth a visit is John Andrews’s vintage fishing tackle. His canvas and string bags, baskets, colourful floats, reels and flies are all fastidiously sourced and displayed’.

So what are you waiting for? Read a copy of the Old Town Evening Star at their website or a order a copy from their
shop in Holt and read it on the trolleybus to Arcadia which leaves Liverpool Street every Wednesday at Midnight and reaches the market
via the alley of slush in time for opening at half seven.

Tally-ho!
