David Hockney’s amazing 50-canvas painting Bigger Trees Near Warter, on show until April 11 in Room 28 at Tate Britain. Painted al fresco in the woods and completed in a small room in Bridlington, it is flanked here by two equally giant photographic companion pieces. Half an hour in Room 28 is the next best thing to being out in the country — and it’s free too.
