This special event will feature a slide show of Justin’s photographs, including the first public showing of new work from two landscape projects, “Flood Plain” and “River Valley”; along with a preview of photographs from a current commission for the publisher Full Circle Editions. Justin will then be ‘in conversation’ with the award winning poet and translator George Szirtes to discuss a variety of topics including, a sense of place and the local, and the importance of artistic authorship.
A selection of Justin Partyka’s photographs from The East Anglians, is currently on show at Gainsborough’s House until 26 June. This follows the highly successful exhibition at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, Norwich in Autumn 2009.
Tickets for this event are normally £8, but are being offered at the special price of £6 to Caught by the River readers. Tickets include entrance to the exhibition and refreshments.
