I’m a little late on this but Resonance FM are having a fundraising weekend. Various bits n bobs are up for auction but hurry it ends Sunday.

In their ‘experiences’ section is this:

e14. Win a wood themed day with Carlos Slazenger! You will be collected from Cockfosters station and taken to The Great Wood in Northaw for a nature trail and a look at some trees. Then its off to learn the noble art of woodwork with Carlos and his dad Neville, where you have the opportunity to construct a wooden item of your choice (e.g. spice rack, letter opener). The day ends in the Woodman country pub where you will be able to examine all manner of saws, axes etc

Sounds like the kind of thing CBTR readers would be interested in – trees, wood, beer…
