After Saturdays post on the subject of the lost boutiques and nightclubs of ’60’s London (‘Wish You Were There’) it came as no surprise that talk soon turned to the ever popular topic of the lost rivers of London. This correspondence from our pal Charles Rangeley is him trying to find me a pub above the Westbourne, near to our office in Portobello Road.

you’re sat between the Westbourne and Counter’s Creek. The Serpentine is basically the Westbourne and from there up Westbourne Terrace, and Bourne Terrace, Shirland Road, Kilburn Park Road and up to West Hamsptead. See attached map.
