Things we have enjoyed in 2010.
First Aid Kit.
I’d noticed the name and knew they were on the Wichita record label, but I hadn’t checked them out. Then, in August, at the Green Man Festival, I ran into a couple of friends that I’d not seen for a while, “We are going to see First Aid Kit, come with us”. I followed them to the stage and fell under the spell of two young ladies with the most beautiful voices. “This is our soundcheck, please come back in fifteen minutes”. I had to stay. They were singing Townes Van Zandt. I couldn’t be anywhere else. It was wet, I was hungover, I was comforted.

So I got their album, The Big Black & The Blue, and I like that a lot, oh and then someone said, “Have you heard them doing….
I’m sold.
