I only just came across your website, but I think I already love it. It helped that the first thing I read included a photo of the bridge at Burnsall (from where you can see what has to be one of Britain’s best settings for cricket?). Anyway, I will continue to get stuck in. In the meantime, I don’t know if this is of interest at all, but I found some pretty classy footage of young Peak District rock climbers from the late ’40s via the Yorkshire Film Archive. The clothes/equipment/pre-climb fry up are all worth a look (if you like that sort of thing).
