Many years ago I interviewed Chris Yates for the Idler magazine, and the result has been picked up and reprinted in many places ever since.

It is testament to the swelling spate that is Caught by the River, though, that the reprint in your archives is the one people today most regularly refer to.

My latest project is a novel – a black comedy about a birdwatcher so obsessed with winning the annual birdrace, that he starts ‘taking care’ of his competitors.
It is currently running on Unbound.co.uk and doing pretty well.
