What Have You Done Today Mervyn Day is the second part of the Saint Etienne London film trilogy (Finisterre and the Southbank tribute This Is Tomorrow being the other two). A melancholy loveletter to what we now know as the capital’s Olympic zone, the film documents the last days of a part of the city that – until that point – seemed to have fallen off grid. Saint Etienne’s Bob Stanley revisited the area for a brilliant piece in the Guardian that ran in the run up to the Olympics just prior to the film’s first release on DVD. The film is ace, it’s also available to buy from the Caught by the River shop. Highly recommended.
