This photo was taken a few years ago in mid December after some heavy snowfall the previous night. This is one of two last remaining sections of the original river course meandering along for about a kilometre. It supports a wide variety of wildlife with its mixed vegetation, trees and natural banks. Most of the Weaver has been artificially straightened and dredged to make it navigable for boats.
