An exhibition of photographs by Bob Clayden.

At Springfield Park Café, Springfield (off Upper Clapton Road), London E5 9EF
Saturday 2nd February – 2nd May 2013

This exhibition is of photographs taken by Bob Clayden during his six month epic trip, in 1972, around the English canals and waterways. He started this journey on his fourteen foot dingy ‘Hobbit’ in London with very little else except for the things necessary to develop his films. He travelled the canals and rivers up to Goole taking pictures of the changing times on the waterways. From Goole he travelled across country to Liverpool and then came back to his home port of London. During all this time he was focused on the fast changing environment of the canals from commercial to pleasure.
