Hi Jeff,

I wager already marked on the Caught by the River calendar but this weekend is the 400th anniversary of the opening of the New River in London.

As has often been said, ‘It’s not New and it’s Not a River’, but I’d say it’s an anniversary worth raising a glass to.

The good folks at Londonist compiled a list of the events being held to celebrate, Diamond Geezer has been walking its lengths on his blog and I’ve tried dipping my toe in in its waters for my work’s blog (images of anglers and tales of drowning and rheumatic poets…).
