We’re teaming up with Upset the Rhythm to present Marisa Anderson + Laura Cannell at The Forge, Camden, on Tuesday 25 October.

After Laura’s phenomenal performance on our Port Eliot stage this year, we’re itching to see her again. If you’re not already familiar with her work, you can listen to latest release Beneath Swooping Talons – which The Quietus calls ‘an essential work of modern British folk and avant-garde composition’ – here.

Laura’s performance will be followed by a headline slot from the inimitable Marisa Anderson. Newest release Into the Light, written as the soundtrack to an imaginary science-fiction western film, traces the story of a visitor lost and wandering the Sonoran desert. ‘The Portland native is able to put as much emotion as an entire orchestra into a piece that features only an assortment of guitars’ says Stereogum of the lead single.
