Competition Results

8th June 2017

Here are the results of our latest newsletter competition:

Last week, we had five copies of Vybarr Cregan-Reid’s Footnotes: How Running Makes Us Human, out now in paperback, to give away.

We asked: According to Greek mythology, what was the name of the messenger who was ordered to run from Marathon to Athens (a distance of about 26 miles) to deliver news of a military victory?

And the answer is: Pheidippides. The winners are Sheila Pearson, Lee Brown, Grace Beaver, Craig Rutherford, and John Kington. Your prizes will be with you very soon!

Thanks, as usual, for all the competition entries. To be in with a chance of winning our next prize — a copy of Diversions Vol.4 – The Songs And Poems Of Molly Drake, the new album from The Unthanks — make sure you’re signed up to our mailing list before 11am tomorrow. The sign-up bar can be found in the top right-hand corner of this page.
