Caught by the River

Competition Results

3rd August 2017

Here are the results of our last couple of newsletter competitions:

First up, we had two copies of the brand new issue of Elsewhere: A Journal of Place to give away.

We asked: Which writer, whose work appears in the new issue of Elsewhere, wrote about Manchester’s Pomona Island for Caught by the River in 2015?

And the answer is: Hayley Flynn. The winners are Jackie Bradley and Richard Brett. Your prizes will be with you very soon.

Next up, we had three copies of John Grindrod’s Outskirts: Living Life on the Edge of the Green Belt, out now with Hodder & Stoughton, to give away.

We asked: Outskirts is John Grindrod’s second book. What is the title of his critically acclaimed debut?

And the answer is: Concretopia: A Journey Around the Rebuilding of Postwar Britain. The winners are Stephen Willis, Malcolm Beveridge, and Fi Loveday. Your books are on their way!

Thanks, as usual, for all the competition entries. To be in with a chance of winning our next prize, make sure you’re signed up to our mailing list. The sign-up bar can be found in the top right-hand corner of this page.
