Caught by the River

Competition Results

1st March 2018

Here are the results of our last couple of newsletter competitions:

First up, we had three copies of Iain Gately’s The Secret Surfer, newly published by Head of Zeus, to give away.

We asked: Who is the author of the fantastic Barbarian Days: A Surfing Life – an office favourite here at Caught by the River?

And the answer is: William Finnegan. The winners are Stuart Brooks, Malcolm Forbes and Graeme Montague. Your books will be with you very soon.

Next up, we had three copies of Meryl Pugh’s debut collection Natural Phenomena, new from Penned in the Margins, to give away.

We asked: The eighth poem in the collection is titled ‘The Pollard’. But who is the author of Pollard – a Caught by the River favourite, first published in 2008?

And the answer is: Laura Beatty. The winners are Claire Morris, Owen Whitford and Helen Barrow. Your prizes are on their way!

Thanks, as usual, for all the competition entries. To be in with a chance of winning our next prize — one of three copies of Neil Ansell’s The Last Wilderness, newly published by Tinder Press — make sure you’re signed up to our mailing list before 11am tomorrow. The sign-up bar can be found in the top right-hand corner of this page.
