Spaceship is Mark Williamson, a musician and sound artist based in West Yorkshire working with field recordings, portable synthesizers and found sounds. Outcrops —  his debut vinyl release — is an exploration of the geological history of the Upper Calder Valley and Cliviger Gorge, focussing on a series of sandstone outcrops above the West Yorkshire town of Todmorden.

Spaceship will provide audio accompaniment to talks by Luke Turner on his book Out of the Woods   at our Caught by the River Calder event in Hebden Bridge later this month, and on our stage at this year’s Port Eliot Festival.

He will also be supporting Will Burns and Hannah Peel at their Cecil Sharp House show, taking place on 4 April.
