Dear readers,
In news that by this point is almost certainly unsurprising, we are writing to inform you of the cancellation of our launch event for Tim Dee’s Greenery, which was due to take place on Friday 3 April at Centrespace Gallery, Bristol BS1. It is a sorry state of affairs, but like the majority of other publishers, labels and arts organisations, we simply cannot prioritise anything above the wellbeing of our artists and attendees. Refunds will be issued automatically at point of purchase.
Similarly, as you may have become aware yesterday, the inaugural Aerial Festival, at which we were due to run an event at the end of the month, has been postponed until September. Regrettably, due to a clash of prior commitments, we are unable to make the rescheduled dates, and therefore will no longer be participating in the festival. Please contact point of purchase if you wish to claim a refund.
Many small businesses are struggling to keep their heads above water through this global health pandemic, and buying literature, music, and/or gift tokens direct from artists, publishers or independent shops is enormously helpful. If you would like to take this opportunity to pre-order Tim Dee’s book, you can do so through us or your local bookshop. We stock a wealth of other titles, nature-based and otherwise, too! You can also support our co-promoters in our now-defunct event by buying something from the Letterpress Collective shop, or from the Friendly Records online shop.
Rest assured that from our respective homesteads, we will be keeping Caught by the River topped up with happy distractions as best we are able over the coming weeks. Very best wishes in this strange time, and here’s hoping we’ll be writing with better news before too long.
