Illustrated, worded and printed by our good friend Nick Hand at The Letterpress Collective in Bristol, Hello in there (named in a nod to John Prine) depicts a 700-year old oak photographed by Nick during lockdown on the edge of Durham Downs. Nick’s photos then informed a lino cut, accompanied by a few words celebrating the new life breathed into the ancient boughs by the coming of spring.

To be displayed and treasured as you wish, but we suggest a punched hole and a nail — with or without ribbon — works particularly well!
Middler and Lunker-tier subscribers should find Hello in there hitting their doormats by the beginning of next week.
