Taking place in Cardigan, Wales, from 3-5th November, Other Voices festival returns for its second in-person edition celebrating the cultural ties between Ireland and Wales.
Each day kicks off with talks in the Clebran discussion series, with artists, journalists, historians, writers, poets, musicians and politicians including Billy Mag Fhloinn, Eddie Ladd, Gwenno, larla O Lionáird, Sage Todz, Emma Dabiri, Diarmaid Ferriter, Richard Wyn Jones and First Minister of Wales Mark Drakeford joining together to reflect on some of the complex narratives that underpin Ireland and Wales’s shared histories.
After talks comes the Music Trail: eighty performances in intimate and atmospheric spaces around the town. Performing additional headline sets in St Mary’s Church (accessed via a prize draw) will be Welsh electro-pop superstar Gwenno, virtuosic harp & fiddle duo Catrin Finch & Aoife Ní Bhriain, Australian – Welsh indie sensation Stella Donnelly, pioneering Welsh drill artist Sage Todz, and Llareggub Brass Band, who’ll fill the Church with the sounds of New Orleans marching bands, Hip Hop & Welsh language pop music. Final acts still to be announced.
