An audio-visual piece created for Mother’s Day by Claire Todd, in remembrance of the space left by absence. Claire writes:

A last conversation in the kitchen. A dressing gown kept, but never worn. A wish that we had driven north instead of south.

My mum died a couple of days following this last exchange. Vera, in Latin, means ‘true’ and T is the mathematical symbol of a value that is always true. A fitting title. She was all that T is.

For all the mothers that are lost or were never known. For the mothers who are no longer mothers and those who never became.
