Friend of the River Malcolm Anderson recently wrote to us to flag Pete Geall’s West ~ A Cornish Surf Anthology — a pleasingly old-skool (read: photocopied and bound by hand) short story collection which invites its readers to ‘step into the world of spirited local surf scene in West Cornwall’.

Pete’s writing is accompanied by artwork and photographs from his friends Al Mackinnon, Imogen Allen, Jack Johns, Luke Gartside, Maisie Marshall, Will Riston, and a foreword by Mikey Lay. The book comes a sticker of ‘West’ designed by Will Ritson and a postcard by painter Imogen Allen.

Printed in Cornwall in first edition of 250, 100% of profits from the sale of West will be donated to Man Down Cornwall, a charity supporting men’s mental health in the county.
