Caught by the River

Competition Results

3rd April 2024

Here are the results of our latest newsletter competition…

Last week, we had a copy of In All Weathers, Matt Gaw’s exploration of the power and beauty of British weather in all its wild and stormy forms, courtesy of Elliott & Thomson to give away.  We asked:

Matt Gaw shared his beautiful Pleasures of…February with us in 2019. Of which river did he write: ‘It was here that Roger Deakin sat in his car and cried about what had become of the river…the Jordan of the Fens, where people came to be baptised up until the 70s, has been reduced to a carpark puddle’ ?

And the answer is: The River Lark. The winner is Andrew Meek. Your book will be with you very soon!

Thanks for all the entries. To be in with the chance of winning our next prize — one of three copies of Globetrotting: Writers Walk the World, edited by Duncan Minshull — make sure you’re signed up to our mailing list. The sign-up box can be found on the right hand side of this page.
