Thank you to Mike Gavin for recently getting in touch to share a lovely short film about Little Libraries in south east London.

Made by Beowulf “Wulfie” Mayfield for the 2026 Brockley Max festival, A Little Film About Little Libraries follows reluctantly retired musician Billy Jenkins on a bike trip around the borough of Lewisham, south east London, to enjoy, tidy up and generally support an informal network of micro libraries. Additionally, three micro-library hosts describe what inspired them to start up their ventures, their contribution to the community and their ideas for the future.
