A truly special occasion awaits us on the Sunday afternoon at Port Eliot this year, where words and music will turn towards the elusive and magical world of Nick Drake.

In celebration of the stunning Nick Drake: Remembered For A While, writer Andy Childs – who says of the tome: “There are but a few recording artistes whose careers deserve such treatment; Nick Drake is definitely one of them” – will be joined by Gabrielle Drake and Cally Callomon, who together composed the book over a six year period. Looking upon Nick’s life and music, the conversation will be set against a backdrop of rediscovered photos taken by friend Julian Lloyd and mementos such as Nick’s original Martin guitar and the blanket he was veiled in for many of these woodland photos. This intimate event will culminate in special guest musicians, including Nonny Denny and Daisy Vaughan performing some of Nick’s songs.

The full programme for what looks like another superb Port Eliot festival.
