There’s a whole world of fascinating and compelling podcasts out there. Copenhagen’s Danish-language audio series, Third Ear, has garnered something of a cult following, with one its programmes, Kvinden på Isen (The Woman On The Ice), winning the 2015 In The Dark Audio Documentary Award at Sheffield Doc/fest this month.

“(It) tells the story of Karen Roos, a young Danish woman, who disappeared on the ice outside the little Eastern Greenlandic settlement Angmassalik in 1933. More than 80 years later radio producer Rikke Houd follows in her footsteps.”

But don’t worry if you don’t speak Danish because there’s a very special English screening of the audio documentary taking place at Hackney Attic, Hackney Picturehouse on Thursday June 25th, at 7.30pm. Sounds good? Tickets are just £7 in advance and available to buy here .
