We are looking forward to seeing you all this weekend for our third Caught by the River Day Out. The weather forecast looks good!
We have some new things going on this year.
Day Out HQ at Lovebrook
Lewes based brewery Beak are running a bar for us on the farm (11am-8pm) and Hannah and Rich from Lovebrook will be serving some hearty food at lunchtime. Their farm shop with bread, pastries, cheeses and veg will be open 9am-3pm for those that prefer to picnic. Feel free to visit the Gurdy Stone — it has amazing views.
In the milking shed you can see artist Steve Banntyne’s exhibition, ‘What’s left behind and what’s left to come’.
If you want to try the Lovebrook sauna and cold plunge pool you can book a session here (not included in general ticket price). There are sessions at 10am, 11.30am and 1pm.
St Pancras Church
We have a programme of ambient music put together by The Stone Club and The Folk Archive that is running all day in the church, accompanied by films projected onto the walls made by Danny Hammond. This is going to be very special.
We also have some new music made for event by The Standing Stones (Jimmy Cauty/Jem Finer/Alasdair Roberts). Jem will be playing his hurdy gurdy live at 2pm.
The Ambient Church will be open from 11am-4pm. If you are in the church look out for the small stained glass window celebrating the life of the anti-apartheid campaigner Michael Scott.

Each session lasts 45 mins.There will be a CBTR bookstall open all day and during the afternoon. L-13 Light Industrial Workshop will be selling some specially created artwork. Stella and Josie’s Cake by the River will be serving tea, coffee and a variety of home-made cakes from the hatch — open all day.
General Notes
Parking – please don’t park on The Street, please park on the main road.
Toilets – there aren’t toilets at Lovebrook; please use the Parish Hall.
Taxis – there is a rank at Lewes station, GM taxis (01273 477567) are also based there.
