We found this story while out on our regular Chris Watson Watch: Chris is creating an all-encompassing sonic map of Sheffield and looking for contributions. The website describes the project thus and asks for contributions: “In this ambitious new exhibition, Inside the Circle of Fire, Chris will transform the Millennium Gallery into an immersive ‘sound map’ of Sheffield. As part of his sonic survey, Chris would like the public to contribute their own digital recordings of their favourite Sheffield sound – this can be anything that’s unique to their experience of the city, from the roar of the terraces at Bramall Lane or Hillsborough to the trickle of the River Don.”
